What we Believe
The Apostles Creed succinctly summarizes our basic beliefs:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated on the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (i.e., universal) Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. |
We also believe …..
- The Bible is God’s holy inspired Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- God loves us and is full of mercy. (Ephesians 2:4)
- The only way to achieve eternal life is to acknowledge our sinfulness and to receive God’s forgiveness through His grace.
The two great commandments found in Matthew 22:37-39 are important guiding principles for our lives and the life of the Church:
- Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind;
- Love your neighbour as yourself
At Christ Community Church (CCC), we are committed to realizing our vision and mission statements which are:
